A record for Two Oceans Half Marathon

13 500 entries have been received for the Old Mutual Two Oceans half marathon and entries have now closed in record time. The event office made an additional 2 000 entries available earlier this week in consultation with the City of Cape Town to allow the increase and these were snapped up in just under two days. Postal entries officially postmarked no later than Friday 7 January by the SA Post Office will still be accepted.

Those participants who have missed out will need to set their sights on running the trail run, with online entries opening on Wednesday 12 January. There are two distances for runners to choose from – a 10km for R95 and a 20km for R160. The trail run takes place on Good Friday 22 April and starts at 07h30 from the UCT Campus. Entries are limited to 400 participants per distance. No late entries will be accepted and no entries are taken on race day. For more info and to enter online go to www.twooceansmarathon.org.za.

The event office will also be facilitating entry upgrades, downgrades and substitutions, which will be an additional way that participants can obtain an entry for the half marathon, should they have missed the cut-off. These will be done between 1 February and 16 March only.
