This 8-week lifestyle re-boot, run by the Sports Science Institute of SA’s health professionals, will reward you with improved fitness, a new vibrancy about life and the motivation to keep up a physically active lifestyle, not to mention the skills to make positive lifestyle choices!
Boot Camp with SSISA - is an action-packed programme of themed, fun-filled outdoor training that works the body, mind and spirit. It caters for 2 different levels of fitness. Whilst the Boot Camp with SSISA is geared towards currently active folk looking for a new challenge, the Lite programme is ideal for those who are not so fit and need some motivation. It includes comprehensive health and fitness assessments, three weekly one- hour outdoor sessions run by biokineticists and workshop with SSISA professionals. Weekly articles and motivational newsletters prepared by experts, including our psychologist, dietitian, sports scientist and yoga guru, keep our troops well-informed and prepared for challenges in life. The varied outdoor sessions incorporate endurance and cardio fitness, strength and conditioning, core stability work, short distance running, circuit training, hiking and hill work.
This course kicks off in October and will include both Boot Camp and Boot Camp Lite courses. Classes take place at 18h00 and will be held at the lovely Chesterhouse School in Durbanville– but several off-site sessions are included too. Indoor facilities are available in the event of bad weather.
