We want to ensure you that we are taking every step to ensure a safe and enjoyable journey to athletes and spectators alike.

To bring this about we require all entrants/spectators to be aware of the following;

  2. There will be partial and limited road closures within these areas which will assist. Athletes are requested to strictly obey the instructions of the marshalls and traffic officials once these roads are reopened.     Runners/walkers must please show restraint and proceed with caution in these areas.   More information will be disseminated in this regard closer to race day. n addition we appeal to all athletes to refrain from running in large groups/busses particularly in the areas where there are road works (as indicated above).Please also be aware of faster runners approaching from behind who want to over-take – without having to put themselves at risk by having to run wide into the road.(This particularly for those who run in the Half Marathon upon your approach to areas where there are roadworks in place.)The "faster " marathon runners are bound to "hook up" here.
  3. Please obey the marshals and traffic officials directions at all time who will be positioned to assist you in having an injury free race.
