Similar to their peers in the rest of the WPA, our older runners are outperforming the youngsters. We are still waiting on a runner from the senior category to win the Runner of the Month Award this year. If they don’t it will be the first time ever a senior athlete fails to win it in a calendar year.
This month a master athlete takes it. Clifford Blake stole the show with a 00:41:22 at the Goodwood Harriers 10 km.
An outstanding club achievement this month was our 78 finishers in the Cape Town Marathon, braking our own record for this race.
