Battle lines have been drawn with the #WPACC2019 Championships just around the corner on 17 August at Fairmont High in Durbanville.
As always, Top Form AC proved warm hosts for League 5, in spite of the chilly breeze at St Augustine's Cricket Club.
Kia Gibbs won the Girls U20 6km in 26:26, while Athemba Nqumashe settled for the 2nd spot this week, once again followed by Caitlyn Schlehmeyer. Carlo Flink of Itheko was his dominant self in a thrilling Boys U20 event in 28:27, just ahead of Oliver Stewart and Mzwamadoda Nonjiko who made him work every step of the way.
Andre Afrika is showing great consistency in taking another victory in the Senior 10 km in 34:45 (the course was a little long), ahead of a fast-finishing Vuyolwethu Mbukushe, and Raidon Balie took the third spot. Boxer WP’s Vuyiseka Nkumenge took the win in the women’s 10 km, followed by a fast-finishing Nolubabalo Dyonase and Sophie Cope.
