Following the announcement made by President Ramaphosa on Sunday night, the Radio Tygerberg 104FM Tyger Run/Walk with Discovery Vitality, scheduled to take place this Saturday 21 March 2020, has been postponed until further notice.
The organisers will let the media and athletes know immediately, once a new date has been confirmed.
Hardus Zevenster, Chief Executive Officer of Radio Tygerberg 104FM says: "We see the virus disruptions as an opportunity for South Africa to take the lead, take responsibility and set an example not to panic under real pressure and fake news. It's a chance for us to stand together to help each other and encourage one another during difficult times. The only way to overcome the virus is not to take it lightly, but at the same time to make well-considered and responsible decisions for the benefit of everyone in South Africa."
