Chairman's update: August 2019

August Chairman’s update

To all our fellow BAK Members,

It is no surprise that the current hot topic in our club is the new club that we will be starting!

Thank you to each and every one of you for the feedback, concerns, compliments and suggestions for the new club name, we value all forms of feedback.

The Special General Meeting (SGM) will be held on 15 August 2019 at 19h30 and I am requesting all of you to attend the evening and to be part of this historic meeting. It is very important to us to have you involved in the process of adopting our new constitution and selecting our new club name.

August is Puffer month, for those who do not know about this race, it is a 80km trail run from Cape Point to the Waterfront and it is one of the toughest challenges in Cape Town. As usual we have a number of our members taking part and we would like to wish them well. I am sure you all will have an amazing day on the mountain.

We are also nearing the end of the 21x21km challenge, we have a number of members still chasing the last few 21km’s, good luck to these members, it has indeed been quite a challenge!

I want to end off by inviting all our members to talk to me about anything, please feel free to email, phone or talk to me at the club if you have any concerns, suggestions or just want to give us some positive feedback. This is your club and we will always listen, we are always looking for ways to improve our club.

Happy Running and I will see you on the 15th.
Andre
